STUFF TO DO
Monday: Music Monday – national music celebration — A free community sing-along event takes place Monday at 7:30 pm at FLATO Academy Theatre in Lindsay. The event is part of a Canada-wide celebration of music education, featuring a mass sing-along of Triumph’s Hold On and highlighting the importance of music in schools. Reservations are available through the theatre.
Tuesday: Card Party – Mark Street United Church UCW — A community card party takes place from 1–4 pm at Mark Street United Church, 90 Hunter St. E., Peterborough. The $10 event features card games, desserts, tea and coffee, and door prizes, with table reservations available through the church office at at 705‑742‑2682.
Tuesday: Stormwater Rate Study – public meeting — The City of Peterborough is hosting a public meeting from 7–8:30 pm at the Peterborough Public Library in the Friends of the Library Room. A presentation begins at 7:30 pm as part of ongoing public consultation on the Stormwater Rate Study. Residents can also submit feedback online or through forms available at the meeting until May 22.
Tuesday: Mother’s Day Flower Arrangement Workshop — A hands-on floral workshop takes place at 6 pm at Jesse’s Tap & Grill, 583 Robinson Rd., Bridgenorth. Led by Katherine’s Flower Shop, the evening includes all materials to create a take-home floral arrangement, along with light refreshments and snacks. Tickets are $65 and available at Jesse’s, with limited spots available.
