Rebecca Schillemat is officially entering the race for mayor of Peterborough.
Schillemat submitted her paperwork on Friday morning at City Hall.
Schillemat has worked with trades and builders, as well as arts and environmental organizations, and believes her experience will make her an effective leader.
Additionally her campaign priorities will include improving public spaces, supporting local business growth, investing in infrastructure and strengthening accountability at City Hall.
She has also served on the boards of the Peterborough & Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce and the Peterborough Folk Festival.
