STUFF TO DO
Tuesday: Kollab in The Kawarthas — A networking and collaboration event hosted by the Peterborough County Economic Development Team from 8:30 am to 4 pm at Elmhirst’s Resort in Keene. The full-day session brings together tourism and local business leaders for presentations, a panel discussion, and networking opportunities focused on growing the visitor economy. Includes guest speaker Justin La Fontaine from Destination Ontario and a buffet lunch.
Tuesday: Learning in Leisure Spring 2026 Speaker Series – John Boyko & Kevin Callan — Running from 9 am to noon at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, the session is part of a member-run lifelong learning program featuring two guest speakers and a coffee-and-cookie break. Cost is $50 for the full 10-week series or $7 for occasional guests. The venue is wheelchair accessible with an elevator, and attendees are asked to bring their own coffee mug.
Tuesday: Men of The Deeps – Diamond Sunset Tour — Presented by Bobo Link Productions at 7:30 pm at Showplace Performance Centre. The world-famous Cape Breton miners’ chorus celebrates 60 years of music and storytelling, featuring a mix of classic favourites, new arrangements, and original works that blend history, culture, and choral performance. Tickets are $64.
Wednesday: Entrepreneurship 101: Employer Essentials – WSIB & Service Canada — Community Futures Peterborough hosts this workshop from 12–1:30 pm at VentureNorth, Lower Level Board Room. Designed for business owners, the session covers employer responsibilities when hiring and managing staff, including WSIB, reporting requirements, Social Insurance Numbers, Records of Employment, and return-to-work obligations. Delivered with Service Canada and the Office of the Employer Advisor, it focuses on compliance, risk management, and employer best practices.
Wednesday: United to Thank Volunteers — Hosted by Volunteer Peterborough from 3–5 pm at the Canadian Canoe Museum. Held during National Volunteer Week, the free event brings together volunteers, community leaders, and organizations to recognize volunteer contributions across the region. Guests can enjoy light refreshments, a self-guided museum tour, and a community celebration.
Wednesday: Royal Wood and Fortunate Ones – Have a Heart Tour — Taking place at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre at 8 pm, the concert features Royal Wood and Fortunate Ones on their Have a Heart Tour, with tickets priced at $44.
