The City of Peterborough has received nearly $600,000 in the latest quarterly payment from casino revenues, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced.
The fourth-quarter payment, covering January through March, totals $597,293 for hosting Shorelines Casino Peterborough.
For the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the city received a total of $2,651,125. Since the casino opened in October 2018, cumulative payments to Peterborough have reached $17.7 million.
OLG says host municipalities receive payments based on a standardized formula tied to gaming revenue generated at each site.
Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith says the funding helps support local priorities, including infrastructure and community services.
Across Ontario, host communities have received nearly $2.4 billion in non-tax gaming revenue since 1994.
OLG says the payments are part of its commitment to reinvest all profits back into the province, supporting economic development, job creation and infrastructure projects.
The agency adds that private sector service providers have invested more than $2.9 billion across Ontario over the past nine years, contributing to new casinos, resort developments and expanded facilities.
