A 39-year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge following a robbery early Tuesday morning.
Police say officers were called around 3:30 am to the area of Sherbrooke Street and George Street North for reports of an injured man.
The victim told police he had been struck on the head, and his phone and cash were taken.
Officers later located a suspect matching the description in the Bethune Street and Townsend Street area and took him into custody.
The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with minor injuries. Police say the individuals involved are believed to be known to each other.
The accused is charged with robbery with a weapon.
