The City of Peterborough is reminding residents and business owners to report graffiti in public spaces as part of ongoing cleanup efforts.
City staff from Public Works and Recreation, Parks and Culture Services respond to graffiti through inspections, removal, and cleanup of affected infrastructure and public areas.
Residents can submit reports through the City’s Service Request form at peterborough.ca/ServiceRequest by selecting “Graffiti/Vandalism.”
Graffiti on municipal infrastructure can also be reported to Public Works at 705-745-1386 or pubworks@peterborough.ca.
Graffiti in parks and recreation areas can be reported to 705-742-0050 ext. 2205 or rec@peterborough.ca.
The City notes that graffiti is considered mischief under the Criminal Code and should also be reported to Peterborough Police Service, including any that may be hate-motivated or involve threats. Reports can be made to 705-876-1122 ext. 225 or online, with 911 reserved for emergencies.
