Yard waste collection returns Tuesday, April 7 and will continue through the end of November.
Residents can set out unlimited yard waste, as long as it’s placed in reusable containers with labels, bushel baskets, or paper yard waste bags.
Set-out requirements include:
- Rigid open-top containers with a maximum volume of 80 litres and two fixed handles; lids must be removable and not secured
- Containers must have two clearly visible yellow labels, available at City Hall, 500 George St. N.
- Brown paper bags or bushel baskets are accepted; plastic bags are not permitted
- Damaged or broken bins will not be collected
- Maximum weight of 13 kg (30 lbs) per container
- Brush must be bundled, with a maximum length of 1 metre and diameter of 30 cm
Yard waste should be set out after 6 pm the night before collection or by 7 am on collection day.
