Nominations are open for 2026 induction into Peterborough’s Pathway of Fame.
Until April 30th, people are invited to nominate those who they think are deserving for induction and recognition via a marker on the Pathway of Fame bordering Del Crary Park. The nomination form can be found at ptbopathwayoffame.ca/nominees/.
Nominations are sought in eight induction categories – Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Literary, Entertainment/Musical, Cultural Betterment, Community Samaritan, Community Builder and Media. This year’s inductees will be honoured September 15th at Showplace.
Pathway communications chair Gord Gibb says, contrary to popular belief, nominations are considered by an independent committee with inductees chosen based on their review.
Gibb says the long list of past Pathway inductees features many well-known names right alongside numerous lesser known, but no less remarkable, individuals.
Gibb says Pathway of Fame induction serves as an annual reminder that there’s much about Peterborough that is good and should be celebrated.
The Pathway of Fame was created in 1997 and has since inducted hundreds of area residents.
