Tuesday: You can pedal for a purpose at the YMCA’s Spin-a-Thon in support of their Strong Kids Campaign. The event runs from from 9 am to 3 pm at their Balsillie Family Branch on Aylmer Street, with a new theme each hour to keep the energy and fun going.
Tuesday: A Conversation About The Status of Women In Our Community from 11 am to 2 pm at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre, 140 Charlotte St., Peterborough. Hosted by Maryam Monsef’s ONWARD in partnership with the Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce, the event brings together local voices to discuss the progress, challenges, and opportunities for women in the region.
Tuesday: East Central Therapy Dogs is hosting an information evening from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion on Lansdowne St. W. Learn what’s expected of a therapy dog, upcoming testing dates, and how you can commit to weekly one-hour visits to local nursing homes, retirement homes, and hospitals.
Tuesday: Thinking about running in the 2026 municipal election? The City of Peterborough is hosting So, You Want to Run for Council – Candidate 101 at 7 pm at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre. The session covers council members’ roles and responsibilities and is open to prospective candidates, their partners, and anyone interested in local government. Attendees can ask questions and connect with others.
Wednesday: Improv at the Library — A community improv workshop runs Wednesdays from April 1 to May 6, 2026, from 7–8:30 pm at the Douro‑Dummer Public Library, 435 Fourth Line, Douro. The event is free and open to ages 15+.
Wednesday: Entrepreneurship 101 – Funding Fuel: Explore Funding and Financing is being offered by Community Futures Peterborough from 12 to 1 pm at Venture North. The free session requires advance registration.
Wednesday: The Women’s Business Network (WBN) of Peterborough is hosting its Spring Trade Show from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at The Venue.
