People are invited to meet members of the Peterborough Community Health Centre’s new Wellness Team this Thursday (March 26).
The 5 to 7 p.m. drop-in at the centre’s Peterborough Square location will introduce those now working alongside primary care providers supporting the health and wellbeing of residents in and beyond the city.
Centre executive director Ashley Safar says the Wellness Team is integral to the mission of the centre, which is to make health care more accessible, inclusive and responsive to community needs.
Safar says the centre is in place to help change the way people experience primary health care by lessening apprehension and making them feel more comfortable.
Safar says people are invited to drop by the event, meet the team and share their ideas as to how the centre can support community needs, all while learning about available programs and services.
