A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident Sunday night.
At around 9:00pm on Sunday, officers were called to a residence in the Highland Road and Chemong Road area after a woman reported her partner had hit with a phone and choked her while driving.
While speaking with the victim, officers learned of two other incidents in which the victim was struck and prevented from leaving a room.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal X2
- Assault with a Weapon – Spousal
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle
- Forcible Confinement
