Those looking for information about major work scheduled for the Peterborough section of the Trent-Severn Waterway are invited to register for one of two upcoming information sessions.
A virtual information session will be held March 23rd at 7 p.m., followed by an in-person session March 24th at the Peterborough Lions’ Community Centre, 347 Burnham Street, also at 7 p.m. To register for either session, send an email to trentsevern@pc.gc.ca.
Over the coming weeks, work will begin on multi-year infrastructure projects such as the rehabilitation of the earth dams, repairs and maintenance of the Peterborough Lift Lock, and the replacement of the Maria Street swing bridge.
The sessions will provide information on the construction phases, the anticipated impacts and planned mitigation measures, and the long-term benefits of the work.
