A pilot walked away unharmed after a small plane flipped onto its roof at Lindsay Airport on Wednesday night
Police were called around 9:00 p.m. after the single-engine Cessna was found off the runway. The initial investigation indicates the aircraft lost control during landing, causing the tail to lift and the plane to flip.
The pilot was able to exit the aircraft and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. No other injuries or damage were reported.
Emergency responders at the scene included Kawartha Lakes Police, Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue, paramedics, and the Ontario Provincial Police.
The plane has been removed from the runway, and airport operations were not significantly affected. The Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
