A 31-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court has been arrested and now faces multiple new charges.
Officers on patrol in the Park Street and Dalhousie Street area located the woman at approximately 12:25 a.m. Friday, and took her into custody.
A search revealed a replica firearm, three knives, an expandable baton, 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, 0.2 grams of fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia. She is also subject to a current release order prohibiting weapons possession.
She now faces charges including failure to comply with a release order, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, unauthorized possession of weapons, and possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
