A stolen vehicle found in Lindsay yesterday morning has led to the arrest of two women.
According to the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the incident unfolded at around 9:45 a.m., when an officer on routine patrol investigated a vehicle parked at a motel on Highway 35 South. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Niagara Regional Police Service three days earlier.
Further investigation determined that two women were in possession of the stolen vehicle. Officers located both individuals in a motel room, took them into custody, and transported them to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service. A search warrant was executed on the room, and the vehicle was examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

A 53-year-old woman from Lakefield – possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

A 31-year-old woman from Lindsay – possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Both women remain in custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay for a bail hearing.
