The Peterborough Petes have signed defenceman Holden Carter to an OHL Standard Player Agreement, General Manager Michael Oke announced Monday.
“Holden is a mobile defenceman with good size,” Oke said. “He keeps a strong gap between attacking players and makes smart, quick passes to advance the puck.”
Carter, born in 2007 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, has played 35 games this season with the BCHL’s Cranbrook Bucks, recording two goals and seven assists for nine points. He previously spent time in the USHL and NAHL, and developed in the Chicago Mission minor hockey system.
The Petes return to the ice Thursday when they host the Ottawa 67’s for Boys and Girls Club night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. Puck drop is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available online, by phone at (705) 743-3561, or by visiting the Grant Thornton Box Office . The game will also air live on YourTV Peterborough, Freq 90.5.
