The Peterborough Police Service says its investigation into two arsons on Thursday, February 5, remains active.
Police say it is still early in the investigation and all possibilities are being explored. Investigators note that an increase in fires is always a concern, adding that public safety remains their top priority, as these incidents have the potential to put lives at risk in the community.
Police have released video footage showing a person breaking the front window of a business before a fire begins.
Investigators are urging business owners and members of the public to report any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Peterborough Police Crime Line at 705-876-1122 ext. 555, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at stopcrimehere.ca.
