Future pilots and their families are invited to the National Air Force Museum of Canada this Family Day for ‘Be an Aviator’, an interactive program inspired by the Royal Canadian Air Force.
On Monday, February 16, participants can “earn their wings” by completing hands-on challenges based on real RCAF training from the Second World War.
Activities include decoding Morse code, navigating using constellations, learning flight fundamentals, identifying aircraft, and exploring basic flight engineering through circuits.
Discovery Stations throughout the Museum will offer additional interactive experiences, including uniform dress-up, artefact handling, aviation-themed board games, and hands-on exploration of aircraft materials and engines.
Be an Aviator runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the Museum open until 5:00 p.m. Admission is by donation, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Access to the Airpark is weather-dependent.
