Peterborough’s ReFrame Film Festival returns in January, screening more than 40 documentaries that challenge assumptions, reveal urgent truths and spark conversation.
The 22nd annual festival kicks of January 30th at two venues – Showplace and Market Hall – and continues until February 8th. In addition, a virtual program is being offered February 3rd to 8th, featuring more than half of the films shown as part of the festival proper.
For the full listing of what films are being screened when and where, and to purchase passes, visit www.reframefilmfestival.ca.
ReFrame executive director Kait Dueck says the festival’s nationwide virtual offering, which was initiated during the COVID pandemic years, proved too popular to not continue.
ReFrame creative director Eryn Lidster says promoting local filmmakers work has been, and remains, a programming focus.
Both Dueck and Lidster are proud of the enduring popularity of ReFrame, with Dueck noting the community connection it fosters is a key factor.
