The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has issued a third-quarter payment of $624,898 to the City of Peterborough for hosting Shorelines Casino Peterborough.
Since the start of OLG’s fiscal year on April 1st, 2025, the city has received $2,053,832, bringing the total received since the casino opened in October 2018 to $17,149,043.
Payments are determined under the Municipality Contribution Agreement, which applies a graduated scale of gaming revenue across all Ontario land-based casinos. Host community funds support local services, infrastructure, economic development, and job creation.
Since 1994, Ontario communities have received nearly $2.4 billion in non-tax gaming revenue, while private-sector investments in casinos have exceeded $2.9 billion over the past nine years.
