Environment Canada is warning of significant snowfall, with total accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres expected across much of southern Ontario.
A developing low-pressure system is forecast to bring periods of heavy snow beginning Wednesday, reducing visibility at times due to blowing snow. Forecasters say a sharp drop in temperature overnight will lead to cold wind chills by Thursday morning, compounding hazardous conditions during ongoing snowfall.
The storm is expected to have a notable impact on travel, particularly during the Thursday morning and afternoon rush hours.
Motorists are urged to prepare for rapidly deteriorating road conditions, allow extra travel time, and adjust plans as needed.
