Two people are in custody following a stabbing at a Peel Street residence in Lindsay.
Kawartha Lakes Police just released details about the incident, which took place over the weekend.
They received a call shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday about a woman on Kent Street West who was bleeding from a stab wound.
Officers arrived to find both a male and female injured, providing first aid until paramedics transported the victims to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators quickly identified the location of the stabbing as well as the suspects and made arrests later that day and yesterday.
A 43-year-old man from Lindsay faces charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with probation twice. A 36-year-old woman from Little Britain was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with probation.
Police confirm the incident was isolated and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
