Peterborough police are investigating after a 62-year-old man was hit by a vehicle.
Officers were called to Sherbrooke Street between George and Aylmer streets at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say the man was struck while walking in an active lane of traffic and was flown to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.
Sherbrooke Street was temporarily closed while traffic investigators conducted a reconstruction of the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Peterborough Police Traffic Unit at 705-876-1122 ext. 289 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
