Campbellford Memorial Hospital has introduced temporary visitor restrictions on its Inpatient Unit in response to increased respiratory illness activity within the hospital and the surrounding community.
Effective until further notice, visits on the Inpatient Unit will be limited to one visitor at a time per patient. Hospital officials say the measure is intended to help protect patients, visitors and staff.
Masking remains mandatory on the unit, with masks available at hospital entrances. Visitors who are experiencing respiratory symptoms or feeling unwell are being asked to postpone their visits.
The hospital continues to offer virtual visiting options, with staff available to help patients and families connect remotely.
Hospital officials say the situation will be monitored closely in collaboration with public health and precautions will be adjusted as needed.
