A popular Peterborough summer event is no more.
Organizers of the Kawartha Craft Beer Festival announced on the weekend that the event will not return this summer, ending a 10-year run.
Since the pandemic years, the festival has been organized by just two people, one of them being Kim Cranfield who, when she was with Publican House Brewery, organized the inaugural event held in the former Louis Street parking lot.
Cranfield says the festival grew alongside the craft beer industry.
Cranfield says while festival attendance has steadily increased since the pandemic years, that has presented challenges for her and her business partner as the sole organizers.
Noting she would love to see the festival continue, Cranfield says she’s willing to work with anyone interested in taking the reins.
