Kawartha Lakes police have charged a 42-year-old man following a stabbing in Lindsay Sunday morning.
Officers were called just before 8am on December 28 to Wellington Street and William Street North, where a male victim was found covered in blood. Police provided medical assistance until paramedics transported him to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Criminal Investigations Branch identified a possible scene at a Colborne Street West address. A search warrant was executed, and the accused was taken into custody without incident.
Police have charged a 42-year-old man from Lindsay with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, two counts of failing to comply with probation, and possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
