The Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation marked 40 years in 2025, with its executive director noting its staunch commitment to supporting local health care will remain unchanged in 2026.
Vince Bierworth notes the foundation evolved from the former St. Joseph’s General Hospital Foundation that formed in 1985. Over the years since, the foundation has expanded upon its mandate of forging partnerships focused on bridging gaps in community-based health care.
Bierworth notes 2025 also marked another milestone for the foundation in the form of a 15-year partnership with the Peterborough Family Health Team.
Bierworth, who will mark four years with the foundation in February, says seeing the impact it has is his greatest reward.
Looking ahead, Bierworth says 2026 will see the foundation continue a well-established course.
