A 61-year-old Mississauga man is facing stunt driving charges following a traffic stop in Peterborough.
Police say an officer with the Traffic Unit clocked a vehicle travelling 96 kilometres per hour in a posted 50-kilometre-per-hour zone near Lily Lake Road at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with stunt driving and speeding. As a result, police issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for 14 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in February 2026.
