Lindsay police are investigating an arson at The Vape Store on Kent Street West that caused more than $100,000 in damage.
Officers were called just before 3 a.m. on December 10, after a burglary alarm was triggered. When they arrived, the front door had been forced open and a fire was active inside the store. Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue quickly extinguished the flames and deactivated fire suppression systems in neighbouring units.
No one was injured, but three businesses suffered fire and water damage.
Police say a light-coloured SUV was captured on surveillance leaving the scene and may be linked to the incident. Investigators are asking anyone with information, including dashcam footage, to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch at 705-324-5252 or Kawartha Haliburton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
