Peterborough County OPP say a series of thefts and break-ins across the region has been solved following the arrest of a 62-year-old Peterborough man.
The incidents began November 21st, when a tractor was reported stolen from a Highway 7 property in Otonabee-South Monaghan. The following days saw a break-in at a Hastings business, a theft at a Buckhorn Road store involving a stolen school bus, and another break-in at a Sand Road property in Asphodel-Norwood.
Investigators recovered both the tractor and the school bus.
On December 9th, members of the Peterborough–Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit arrested David Plumley at a residence in Peterborough. He faces multiple charges, including theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property, break and enter, mischief and operating while prohibited.
He was held for a bail hearing in Peterborough.
