Peterborough fans will have plenty to cheer for at next month’s Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game, with three Petes forwards named to Team East for the January 14 showcase at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Adam Novotný, Leon Kolarik, and Adam Levac were among the players unveiled Tuesday as the OHL released full rosters for the annual event. Novotný is one of five A-rated skaters on the Eastern Conference squad, joining Brantford’s Caleb Malhotra and Oshawa’s Brooks Rogowski.
Rosters were chosen by a committee that included NHL Central Scouting, NHL general managers, and OHL vice-president of hockey operations James Boyd. Each team consists of 18 skaters and two goaltenders.
The Eastern Conference bench will be led by Peterborough’s own staff, with general manager Michael Oke, head coach Rob Wilson, associate coach Andrew Verner, and assistant coaches Patrick O’Connor and Nate Oke running the show. Head trainer and equipment manager Brian Miller and athletic therapist Natasha Lagacé round out the support group.
On the Western side, Soo defenceman Chase Reid heads up a group that includes forwards Ethan Belchetz of Windsor, Alessandro Di Iorio of Sarnia, and Saginaw’s Nikita Klepov — all carrying A-ratings. Guelph’s Zachary Jovanovski, the highest-rated goaltender in the event and a recent participant in the CHL USA Prospects Challenge, will also line up for the West.
Reigning OHL coach of the year Jussi Ahokas and the rest of the Kitchener Rangers’ bench staff — associate coach Jeff Kyrzakos and assistant coach Brad Flynn — will guide the Western Conference. Veteran trainer and equipment manager Dan Lebold and head athletic therapist Nick Lichti will serve in support roles.
Tickets for the 2026 Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game are already moving quickly. The game will be produced by YourTV and broadcast across Ontario on community channels.
