The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge has launched a new online store, offering customized clothing to help promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
The store’s first item is an exclusive band t-shirt for The Reachers, CMHA HKPR’s band made up of people with lived experience of mental illness. The group uses music to support recovery and highlight the role of the arts in well-being.
The limited-edition shirts are available now, with partial proceeds supporting the band. CMHA HKPR says more designs will be added in the coming months, with all sales helping fund local mental health services.
The initiative is supported through a partnership with Ricart’s, a long-time sponsor.
“At Ricart’s, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health,” said Matt D’Agostini, Lead Sales at Ricart’s. “This online store is a creative way to raise awareness while giving people a chance to show their support.”
CMHA HKPR is encouraging the community to shop online and help support mental health programs across the region.
