The Petes opened up a busy three game in three night weekend with a tough task ahead.
The red hot Flint Firebirds arrived at the PMC on Thursday night, having just ended an 11 game win streak and picking up points in their last 12 games and were one of the hottest teams in the league.
The Petes meanwhile got back into the win column on Sunday afternoon against the IceDogs and were looking to kick off their busy weekend on the right foot.
The game also featured two of the top goaltenders in the league, Easton Rye and Mason Vaccari.
Freq 90.5’s Stew Kernan says the goaltenders were just part of the game story
