The Peterborough Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade has reached an incredible milestone.
The annual tradition returns to the city on Saturday for the 50th anniversary edition.
Kinsmen president Barry Craft says this is an event that everyone involved always looks forward to.
Craft says the best part for him is always seeing the happiness on people’s faces.
As for the parade starting a half-hour later than in past years, Craft says that’s a concession to a DBIA concern over earlier street closures impacting downtown businesses.
This year’s theme is “50’s on the 50th”.
