Peterborough police are investigating a distraction theft after a woman lost over $1,300 in unauthorized credit card charges.
Officers were called on November 21 to an apartment building near Champlain Crescent and University Heights Boulevard. The woman reported that a man approached her in the parking lot, after she had just returned from a shopping trip, claiming that his dog was missing. After a brief conversation, the woman saw the man again through a patio window about 20 minutes later. She went outside to help search for the dog and returned to find her credit cards missing. Several unauthorized purchases totaling over $1,300 were later discovered.
Police are seeking two male suspects:

Suspect #1: Believed to be of Indian descent, about 5’7”, 40–50 years old, average build, clean shaven, and with an accent.

Suspect #2: Believed to be of Indian descent, tall, thin, with a beard.
