Multi-awarded wheelchair athlete Frank Mazzo is being remembered by family and friends.
Using his left arm only, Mazzo started wheelchair racing in 1982, and represented Canada internationally, winning gold, silver and bronze medals. In 1984, he competed at the International Games for the Disabled in Long Island, and, two years, raced at the International Cerebral Palsy Games in Belgium.
Inducted into the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Hall of Fame in 1990, Mazzo was later welcomed into the Cobourg District Sports Hall of Fame, and just this year, the Peterborough Sports Hall of Fame.
