Peterborough County OPP are looking for more potential victims following the arrest of a local man charged with multiple offences, including kidnapping.
On September 3, OPP began an investigation after a resident reported finding a tracking device on their vehicle. A second tracking device and victim were later identified. On November 20, officers executed a warrant at a Peterborough residence and arrested Dale Sheets, 58, of Peterborough.
Sheets faces charges under the Criminal Code of Canada for:

Two counts of criminal harassment – repeatedly following

Forcible confinement
-
Kidnapping
-
Sexual assault
He is being held for bail and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
Police are warning the public that criminals may place tracking devices on vehicles without knowledge. Common hiding spots include under the bumper, inside wheel wells, behind license plates, and under the car frame. Residents who find suspicious devices should not attempt to remove them and should contact police immediately.
