Peterborough County OPP say a heavy police presence in Peterborough was connected to the search for a possible missing person.
Police received information about the individual on Tuesday, prompting officers from the county detachment, the OPP’s Tactics and Rescue Unit and Emergency Response Team, as well as Peterborough Police, to attend an address in the city.
The person was found safe and the situation ended without incident. The OPP says the investigation was isolated and there was no risk to public safety. No further details are being released.
