A 27-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants is facing additional charges following a traffic stop Sunday night.
Police say officers on patrol near Park Street and Dalhousie Street noticed a vehicle almost collide with another car before aggressively changing lanes. When they conducted a traffic stop, officers learned the passenger was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints.
During the arrest, the man reportedly spat on an officer. He has now been charged with assaulting a peace officer and breach of recognizance.
The man is currently bound by a peace bond requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
