Family, friends and political colleagues of former Peterborough County warden Neal Cathcart are remembering him as a fierce advocate for the rural region, and the Cavan-Monaghan region in particular.
Cathcart died November 14th at Centennial Place in Millbrook at age 80.
A dairy farmer, Cathcart served on county council as reeve of what was then Cavan-Millbrook-North Monaghan, and, in 2005-06, oversaw council as warden.
Cathcart’s service will be held this Saturday (November 29th), 2 p.m., at St. John’s Anglican Church in Ida.
