It’s one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year, and police want to make sure it’s one to celebrate — not one you regret.
With holiday shoppers moving from store to store in search of the perfect gifts, Constable Andrew Gamble says this creates an opportunity that thieves know well.
If you can’t make a trip home to drop off your purchases, Gamble says the next best thing is to store them out of sight — ideally in the trunk — so they’re not visible to anyone walking by.
He’s also reminding people to stay safe and head out with a plan.
If you’re shopping this weekend, you already know it’s going to be busy.
Gamble stresses that if you see anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to contact police.
