Canada’s Minister of National Defence spent time in Peterborough, touting the recently released federal budget as something that will improve security from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
David McGuinty spoke at MP Emma Harrison’s office last night, and says they are trying to get more investment in the defence sector in places like Peterborough.
McGuinty says the government wants to help small companies grow.
Speaking to the recently released federal budget, McGuinty says the plan was made up of necessary investments.
With about a trillion dollars being deployed into the national economy in the next couple of years, McGuinty says he believes that will have a major impact in the growth of the Canadian Armed Forces.
