The Peterborough Petes are warning the public about fraudulent emails pretending to be sent by members of the team’s business operations staff.
The scam messages try to collect payments for vendor space and advertising opportunities.
The Petes stress that any legitimate communication with corporate or potential partners will come from verified @gopetesgo.com email addresses.
Anyone who receives a suspicious email is asked to contact the Petes directly at eebenbauer@gopetesgo.com.
