A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple weapons-related charges following a stabbing.
Police say officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Aylmer and Wolfe streets. Two people were found with stab wounds after what began as a verbal argument with a person known to them turned physical. Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody.
The man is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with an undertaking.
He was held for a bail hearing and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court the same day.
