The grand opening of Bonnerworth Park’s new upgrades has been pushed back until the weekend.
Originally set for today, the official ceremony at 560 McDonnel St. will now begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, after wet weather slowed the installation of new sod.
The park’s improvements include a bike pump track, expanded skateboard park, pickleball courts, and a new shade structure. The opening ceremony will coincide with a weekend of activities hosted by local user groups.
Residents can catch a free shuttle bus from City Hall, 500 George St. N., to Bonnerworth Park on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
