Kawartha Lakes OPP have laid impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle rollover Tuesday night on Opmar Road.
Officers were called to the crash around 9:40 pm and found the driver trapped inside the vehicle. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries before being arrested for impaired driving.
Police say a 22-year-old woman has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and with having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
Her licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.
This marks the seventh impaired driving arrest in Kawartha Lakes so far in October.
With the Blue Jays’ World Series run continuing, police are reminding residents to plan a safe ride home if they’ve been drinking or using drugs.
