Peterborough residents will get their first look at the City’s draft 2026 budget next week.
The draft budget will be posted online Monday, November 3, following a presentation to council that evening at 5:30 in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting can also be viewed live at peterborough.ca/WatchCouncil.
A public meeting will follow on Wednesday, November 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Healthy Planet Arena Banquet Hall, offering residents a chance to review the draft and ask questions.
An informal drop-in session will take place Monday, November 10, from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. in the City Hall foyer, ahead of that evening’s General Committee meeting, where residents can register to speak to council about the proposed budget.
Council will hear budget presentations from local boards and agencies earlier that same day and will review and debate the draft budget November 17 and 18.
The final version of the 2026 budget is expected to be tabled and adopted at the December 8 council meeting.
Details on meetings, registration, and the budget document itself will be available at peterborough.ca/budget.
