The Peterborough Hockey Association will carry on one of the city’s most storied hockey traditions, announcing it will host the Liftlock Atom (U11) Tournament beginning in 2027.
The announcement follows months of collaboration with the City of Peterborough to ensure the long-running event continues under local stewardship.
The PHA thanked past and current volunteers and board members for their years of dedication to the tournament, which has helped develop generations of young players.
The Liftlock Tournament has welcomed future NHL stars including Wayne Gretzky, Eric Lindros, Corey Perry, Bob Gainey, Steve Larmer, and Mike Fisher.
Details on tournament dates, registration and sponsorship opportunities are expected early next year.
