Small businesses are considered the backbone of the local economy, and Peterborough County’s Economic Development and Tourism teams have launched a new program to lend a helping hand.
We spoke with General Manager of Economic Development, Rhonda Keenan about “The Local Advantage” series, and she explained a recent session focused on teaching social media skills.
Keenan adds the success of small business is not only important from an economic perspective but it’s those companies that give our region its charm.
Recruiting new businesses to the area is another focus for the County of Peterborough and Keenan believes this is a great place to invest.
‘The Local Advantage with Peterborough County’ is sponsoring special coverage of Small Business Week on PTBOTODAY.ca. Starting Monday, you’ll hear stories from owners and entrepreneurs each day.
