A 64-year-old man was rushed to hospital yesterday after being found outside a William Street North home.
Police were called to the property shortly after 2:00 p.m. following a report of a male lying in the driveway, unable to move after an assault.
Officers learned that an argument had occurred inside the home shortly before their arrival. A guest exited the residence and used a nearby tool to damage an outbuilding and vehicle belonging to a resident. When the victim tried to intervene, he was physically assaulted, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect then fled on foot.
Responding officers located the accused nearby and arrested him. The victim was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A 34-year-old man from Lindsay has been charged with:

He was held in custody and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay for a bail hearing.
